The next day it flew down to MCO, then returned a few days later. I saw it again in MSP the other day when I was flying out to Portland. It is quiet and clean. As fir the alternative fuel airplane engine I believe at the moment there is no such technology available or in the works. If someone has information on this though I would greatly appreciate a link. I am always interested in alternative fuel measures. I currently drive a 1982 Mercedes diesel on vegetable oil and I love it. Burns clean and if you hit the gas hard it smells like breakfast.BobBob Reedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07033243646056501789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10991135.post-22627289823997030602007-11-17T06:29:00.000-06:002007-11-17T06:29:00.000-06:00ohh man, she is a beaut! i like 'em thick!! hahaohh man, she is a beaut! i like 'em thick!! hahaTimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03714327914305470327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10991135.post-45514664193528388672007-11-16T23:18:00.000-06:002007-11-16T23:18:00.000-06:00Any idea where this one was going?Any idea where this one was going?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10991135.post-39644707460925210372007-11-16T10:47:00.000-06:002007-11-16T10:47:00.000-06:00Evan- I hadn't heard about that. I generally just can't get all that excited over the A380. Probably 'cuz it's fugly!

Anonymous- Even better than that, you can make a plane that's human powered!. The challenge is making a practical alternative-fuel aircraft, and that's still years away. As of now, there are no practical non-petroleum based fuels that have as much energy per pound and per cubic foot as kerosene does.Sam Weigelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06332414897030323612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10991135.post-4543038267041598332007-11-16T06:38:00.000-06:002007-11-16T06:38:00.000-06:00This is totally off topic, but seeing the photo of...This is totally off topic, but seeing the photo of the A380 made me think about fuel efficiency and then I had this crazy question: would it be possible (in theory) to power an airplane using electricity, i.e. batteries, or hydrogen fuel cells? Or is kerosene the only molecule that packs enough punch? Anyone have any thoughts?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10991135.post-8298625602174909472007-11-15T21:29:00.000-06:002007-11-15T21:29:00.000-06:00can't imagine you haven't heard about this yet but...can't imagine you haven't heard about this yet but regardless:

http://www.airliners.net/discussions/general_aviation/read.main/3703453/Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18105896754614735234noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10991135.post-84702438031933650292007-11-15T18:08:00.000-06:002007-11-15T18:08:00.000-06:00it's an ugly bird, but it's fascinating, isnt't it...it's an ugly bird, but it's fascinating, isnt't it?

I had the chance to be one of the first flying this beast, and I can tell you, its probably the most quiet airliner I ever experienced...absolutely fantastic, unless someone 2 rows behind you is talking at normal voice, as you will now understand every single word :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
